Czech Renewable Energy Alliance CREA is a union of Czech firms and research and educational institutions. Dealing with renewable energy sources, we focused on water energy. CREA was established in 2005, nevertheless, the members have been cooperating for over 10 years and so we have been continuing the tradition of engineering in Brno which was founded a hundred years ago by Viktor Kaplan.

Soon after its establishment, CREA, supported by government, realized two marketing projects localized to export (2005 and 2006) within an ´Alliance programme´ provided by ´Czech Trade´. Thanks to these projects we managed to spread the area of our activity to South East Asia and to the Balkans.
To increase our competitive advantage in the domain and that we could profit more from the research results, we transformed the alliance into a cluster.

CREA is well experienced in realization of several projects including development cooperation abroad, the World Bank, national institutions or private investors.

Our alliance closely cooperate with HYDROPROJEKT a PÖYRY.

Among our customers you can find: MPO ČR, ČEZ, EON and others.

CREA members and cooperants are active participants in the international institutions like ICOLD
