After the information, discussions were opened to address the issue of expressing potential
interest in participating in the project. The aim of the meeting was to reorganize the project,
including the outcomes of the introductory meeting in the Netherlands, to present a methodology
for building a critical mass for innovation and the development of human potential, to discuss the
evaluation of the innovation ecosystem in the region, and to form a working team and develop
proposals for further progress in the implementation of the project. The main purpose of this
meeting is to find common approaches to solving social, economic and technical problems related to
the development of water technologies and their use in practice.
The Czech cluster CREA Hydro & Energy is open to new cooperation. The chairman of the Committee
Ing. Břetislav Skácel stated: "For the South Moravian Region, with its tradition of research into water
technologies which was launched even before the invention and the world's first production of the
chapel turbine in Brno, supporting the current potential of experts, schools and research capacities as
a high motivation to support the current need to solve water problems in the region, water
management means a great opportunity and challenge." This was agreed by the participants of the
first regional workshop on the iWATERMAP project in Brno.
